It SHALL come to Pass....

The phrase "And it shall come to pass” is a wonderful phrase that occurs quite often in the Bible; a hundred and twenty times (120) in the King James Version in fact; and it means Something you have waited for will finally happen. It WILL happen! But does it just happen like magic or is there something we need to do to ensure God’s word comes to pass in our lives? In Deuteronomy 28 and verse 1, it reads -

[1] “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth

This clearly shows that God’s word comes to pass in our lives as we do our part - as we honor, obey and observe to do that word. God is not a man that he should lie neither is he the son of man that he should repent. If he says something to us, we can take that word to the bank because it WILL come to pass.

[19] “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Numbers 23:19 NKJV‬

This scripture shows that when God speaks, he does not change his mind like man does. He never has to retrace his steps or apologize for what he said. Instead, he will do what he has said and make that word good. God's word ALWAYS comes to pass. You can plan based on God’s word because his word is the Truth. I am sure you know people whose words mean nothing. It is hard to take them at their word because they are so unreliable. If they say something, you have to wait to see if what they promised is so. You can not trust what they say because of their words; but not God.

[11] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.   Isaiah 55:11 NKJV‬

This is evidence of how reliable and dependable God is. His word always accomplishes whatever he has said it will. It shall accomplish what I please and prosper in the thing for which I sent it, is another way of saying “my Word will come to pass”. It SHALL come to pass!!! Often, we want God to do something in our lives but we are not confident it will or can happen. We don't know if what we are believing God for will come to pass. God however tells us to rest assured, that what he has said will indeed come to pass.

So what do you want God to do for you this week and how can you be sure it will happen just like you want it to? Take time to receive a word from God. Don't just say something hoping God will back it. Spend time with God in prayer until you hear a word from him that speaks to what you want to see, THEN begin to rejoice knowing it is settled and will come to pass just like he said to you in prayer. Keep declaring what he said to you in prayer and keep rejoicing.

Often in the bible, you will see the words and “it shall come to pass” referring to something God said. This should give you the confidence that what God's word always come to pass.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions - Joel 2:28

I, the LORD, have spoken it; It shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not hold back, Nor will I spare, Nor will I relent....  - Ezekiel 24:14

God assures us over and over again that whatever he has said to us will come to pass, so believe his word. Spend time with him and receive a rhema word (that word that speaks specifically to your situation), then begin to rejoice because it shall come pass just like he said. Always come to God with His word and never leave his presence until you have received your word. That way, his word will always come to pass in your life.

[24] “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear - Isaiah 65:24 NKJV‬

This blesses me. God says it shall come to pass, and even before they call he will answer. He is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11) so even before you ask, he has answered. The Bible says in Luke 18:8, I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?.

He will avenge you speedily OR better put, his word will come to pass but will he find you still believing? Will you still be in faith? That is what the above scripture is saying. You need to stay in faith, always trusting because what he has told you will come to pass. It SHALL come to pass for you!!! Hallelujah 💃🏾 💃🏾 💃🏾.

Flourish in God this week ❤️
