The KEY for 2025

 

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I was in prayer this morning when the Lord said this to me: The KEY for 2025 is Psalm 1:1-3, so let's have a look at those verses and today; our focus will be verse 3.

[1] Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

[2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 

[3] He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.       Psalms 1:1-3 NKJV

A key is a small piece of shaped metal with incisions cut to fit the wards of a particular lock, which when inserted into a lock and turned, can open or close it. This is the traditional key but a key could also be a device that is used to do the same thing when you want to open or lock a car. It could also be the means of identifying or providing an explanation or solution. 

A key can protect and preserve what lays beyond the door. It can hold the secrets of resources (like a combination does to a safe), and it can open up something that was otherwise inaccessible and that is what this Psalm is. It holds the answer to a solution: How to flourish and remain fresh (evergreen) so that you bring forth in your season. So do you want to prosper, flourish and succeed this year? Do you want to bring forth fruit in the right season and ensure that whatever you do prospers? 

The KEY is the Word!!! 

You will work hard; you will not only pray and praise and wait doing nothing. You will apply yourself to your tasks and give it your very best but God’s word will be your compass. You must keep that word in your heart and mind DAY and NIGHT, so it can point you to the right wells to dig. And this year, there are wells that your eyes need to be open to see, and the Word will show you the right places to go, the right people to meet, the right things to do and how to do those things so that in whatever you do this year, you will prosper. 

The Word will keep your mind FERTILE this year and influence your thinking. We have just begun learning about wisdom from Solomon and one of the things we are learning is about the need to be pragmatic.

God’s Word is the fertilizer that will keep your mind open to fresh and innovative ways of doing things this year - even things you may not have done before and it will also show you new ways of doing old things. It will keep your mind fertile, open and fresh, so do not play around with God’s word in 2025. 

As you spend time in the Word, ask God to open your eyes to behold wondrous things out of his Word (Psalm 119:18). You will begin to see like you never saw before. That Word will show you new and fresh perspectives and because you are PLANTED in the Word, your leaves will not wither or dry out. You will not lose steam or lack direction and nourishment. Because of the Word, your fruits (the results of your efforts), will make it to harvest. You will bring forth fruit in your season instead of experiencing abortions before harvest-time. 

The Word will therefore be your KEY this year and it will refresh your thinking; so take that key now…
